A Slice of Pecan Pie: Partial Nekkidness and the New 'Nudity' Tax
http://brianarogers.blogspot.com/2008/03/partial-nekkidness-and-new-nudity-tax.html
Thursday, March 6, 2008. Partial Nekkidness and the New 'Nudity' Tax. It seems that the new rule that charges a fee to sexually oriented businesses that allows drinking and has nudity, has a "gray area" that could leave other venues liable for the surcharge as well. Justin's political corner: Prop 15 barely spueaked by in Travis County
http://justinspoliticalcorner.blogspot.com/2008/02/prop-15-barely-spueaked-by-in-travis.html
Thursday, February 7, 2008. Prop 15 barely spueaked by in Travis County. I found this Article in the Austin American Statesman website, it was discussing how proposition 15 barely skimmed by when voted on. The article said that the proposition only passed by a vote of 50.29%, it also said that 50.16% of the people in Travis county voted against it. Why is that bad you ask? Anna's Political Page: What is the deal with this State Rep. Paul Moreno?
http://annaspoliticalpage.blogspot.com/2008/02/what-is-deal-with-this-state-rep-paul.html
Friday, February 8, 2008. What is the deal with this State Rep. Paul Moreno? I think that he owes his distric a formal apology. If he is up for relection then all ofthe matters should be taken in account, BEFORE the actual election. Many times these apologies are done after that person has been relected into office and by the time the next election comes around most of these issues are long forgotton. I believe that this article is definatly worththe time to read. Thats just my view. Http:/ acitizensthou...

A Slice of Pecan Pie: Checking educators for the students' sake
http://brianarogers.blogspot.com/2008/02/checking-educators-for-students-sake.html
Thursday, February 21, 2008. Checking educators for the students' sake. Is the new law that requires teachers and school employees to be fingerprinted neccessary? Right now they are fingerprinting more than 11,000 educators in San Antonio in the city's two largest school systems, Northside and North East independent school districts. The Austin Independent School District was actually the first to start this process. In Jenny LaCoste-Caputo's article, Checking educators for the students' sake.
