So far, we have beaten the birds to the blueberries. And the first black raspberries have appeared. The Hopi Pale Grey heirloom squash I planted has germinated. Every one of them! I cant wait to taste them :). Thursday, June 20, 2013. Pursue some path, however narrow or crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence. So are the J...

Friday, May 31, 2013. Peaceful Spirit, Warrior Child. Picture of J on one of our trips to Colorado. Our Journeys are ever deeper charting the map of scars riven in our souls by time. Map these scars and embrace them. These are our teachers, the hard lessons this life has put our way. Just as the hurdler makes his jumps. We traverse the narrow ever winding paths and pitfalls which lead us to our personal salvation. Shedding layers as a snake sheds its skin. WARRI0RS IN THE HEART by Mark Loman). Dandelion ...

little field mouse: January 2013

Friday, January 18, 2013. Rest in peace, Rowan. You were a damn fine rooster. The best. You will be missed, sweet fella. Neither Rain, Snow, Sleet. This is the picture we awoke to today. We were expected to get up to 12 inches, but the storm changed direction and we barely got 3 inches. There was a period of white-out conditions, but it did not last long. For awhile, it was looking like we would be getting a lot of snow. We're just a bit disappointed! Birdie, Rusty (the bantam rooster) and Lucifer. Brigh...

http://littlefieldmouse.blogspot.com/2013/07/rocky-mountain-high-part-2.html
Thursday, July 25, 2013. Rocky Mountain High, part 2. Our favorite place to visit in Colorado is Garden of the Gods. Every time we go, Garden of the Gods is top on the list. The sandstone rock formations are simply gorgeous. We have so much fun exploring! We got there later in the day after we had gone to the bug museum and the zoo and thought the boys might not want to hike, but they leaped out of the car. They were not missing this! C having fun on the boulders. J exploring nooks and crannies. A couple...

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. They are this notable thing, this wheel of many parts,. That can rise and spin over and over again,. Full of gorgeous life. Ah, world, what lessons you prepare for us, even in the leafless winter. I feel my boots leave the ground, I feel my heart pumping hard. I want to think again of dangerous and noble things. I want to be light and frolicsome. I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,. As though I had wings. From Starlings in Winter by Mary Oliver. After the p...

little field mouse: A Movement of Love
http://littlefieldmouse.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-movement-of-love.html
Sunday, August 11, 2013. A Movement of Love. We are a movement. A movement of love,. A movement of ecstasy,. A movement of embodied wisdom. Here to remind the world. This is not A dance. This is THE dance. The dance of your life,. And your return to Freedom. We cultivate stillness in action. And maintain action within stillness. We breed wonder and hope. And remind our small self that. Then we chat with our Big Self,. And we dance between the two. Like a mama osprey. Circling between nest and water,.

Wednesday, March 27, 2013. There and Back Again. J wearing his new glasses (I didn't get a pic of C in his yet). We have had a long winter and were so excited for spring. The SAD (seasonal affective disorder) really hit me this winter and man, it was rough. I was constantly tired. I just tried to be as active as possible and read many a great book. The daffodils popped up and said "Welcome back, Spring! Our daffodil hill as you round the corner to our house. Then, another snowstorm. Come on! We hope to g...
