Was first published Graves was confronted with numerous negative reviews. Most criticised the novel for its stiff portrayal of the main character, finding him to be "altogether too noble". Great North Run September 2010: September 2010
http://dongnr.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Great North Run September 2010. Thursday, 23 September 2010. Great North Run update. I think it's fair to say that my legs have been pretty sore for the last few days. They are okay while I am up and about but stiff after sitting behind a desk at work all day. So that's that, thanks very much for taking the time to read this blog. Intermittent service will be resumed at the following link shortly: http:/ donran.wordpress.com/. Tuesday, 21 September 2010. Having scoffed a large portion of spaghetti bologn...

Great North Run September 2010: June 2010
http://dongnr.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Great North Run September 2010. Tuesday, 29 June 2010. Tonight was the Jogscotland 5k. In Inverleith Park and the Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. Reading about the event beforehand, most people who had done the race before suggested getting there early since it often gets busy at the registration tent in the buildup to the race. I didn't really want to travel through to the event in my running gear so I was surprised/disappointed to find that Inverleith Park was somewhat lacking in adjacent bushes/trees to g...

Great North Run September 2010: July 2010
http://dongnr.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Great North Run September 2010. Saturday, 31 July 2010. Too far, too fast. Saturday is the shortest, but also my least favourite run of the week. For a change I thought it would be a good idea to do the normal 2.6 mile route, in lieu of a 10 minute easy run, but take it slow because of the longer 40 minute run scheduled for tomorrow. Tell a slightly different story with the first mile at 8m 23s, second at 8m 22s and third at 8m 27s pace, so the session was fairly quick and steady throughout. The time is ...

http://dongnr.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Great North Run September 2010. Tuesday, 31 August 2010. The answer to the conundrum posed on Sunday was 'yes'. My legs were very sore on Monday morning. It wasn't a scientific test but the stiffness was probably caused by the absence of any cycling on Sunday afternoon/evening. Chalk up another lesson learned which I'll try not to let happen again during my preparations for the Great North Run. Fingers crossed my legs will be feeling okay tomorrow. Training schedule: 10/20 min easy run. It's fair to say ...

http://kobekevin.blogspot.com/2013/08/raising-bilingual-child-code-switching.html
Monday, August 12, 2013. Raising a Bilingual Child: Code Switching. Code Switching - Up close and personal. I have to admit that watching my son’s language development is absolutely amazing. I grew up in “one language” household. My family used English. Now, my family in Japan uses both English in the house and outside as well. In linguistics, code switching is switching between two or more language varieties, in the context of a single conversation. You can follow me on Twitter: @jlandkev. I also found ...

Friday, August 16, 2013. I Want to go on an Adventure. Have you ever wanted to do something amazing? Have you ever wanted to do something so cool that you could look back on it for years and years and be proud you did it? Have you ever wanted to do something so “off the wall” that would be able to amaze people with the tales for years to come? The second thing holding me back from running off into the great outdoors and doing something incredible…money. Big adventures don’t tend to come c...Known as one ...
