Cooking with Citrus — Chef Wanabe
http://www.chefwanabe.com/2011/05/cooking-with-citrus
May 28, 2011. Did you guys know I love, love, loooooooove citrus? I absolutely love using citrus on my baking goods and I rarely use vinegar on my salads. I prefer lemons and limes to balance my vinaigrettes. Some countries use lemon a lot and I’m a big fan, countries like Syria, Italy, Mexico and many Latin American countries. Right now all the lemon trees around here are packed with beautiful lemons, sometimes I have to park my car and try to take pictures of people’s gardens. Cup fresh orange juice.

One thing I always loved eating as a child was banana bread. It's one the few ways that I'll actually eat a banana (I know, it sounds weird, but I am not a huge fan of raw banana texture). 50 minutes for one large loaf pan, 40 if using mini-loaf pans. 1 1/4 cup gluten free flour blend. 1 1/2 tsp xantham gum. 1 tsp baking soda.

I like trying each new gluten free product at least once partly to see if I can come across any food shortcuts that taste good, and also partly for some homemade recipe inspiration. This week I tried Betty Crocker’s Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie mix, and here’s my thoughts and recommendation. Links to this post. Where d...

Sunday, January 15, 2012. This is one of our favorite dishes here at The Chubby Vegetarian. Makes two 12-inch pizzas). Divided in half, not thirds). 1 cup tomato sauce (divided). 3 cups shredded smoked mozzarella (about 6 ounces, divided). Chipotle BBQ Tofu (divided, recipe follows).
