No Borders: March 2009
http://davidllorito.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Culture, books, contact sports and reflections about life - or lack of it - beyond work and the cubicle. Thursday, March 19, 2009. At the coffee shop. Just another crazy poem, hehe. Sometimes you can't help but see scenes like this. Her lush ebony strands of hair,. Stream down like lingering lust. Over a tight frame caressed by summer. Her piercing eyes burn like ember,. Her rippling flesh struggles. Against tank tops and barbarians’ trousers—. White silken, flowing garments,. As thin as heathens' prayers.

Culture, books, contact sports and reflections about life - or lack of it - beyond work and the cubicle. Sunday, April 19, 2009. Brian Viloria's killer right from Hell (We have a new world boxing champion). Brian Viloria has certainly found the fire back. He knocked Ulysses Solis in the 11th round. Those lunging overhand right after a stiff left jab was the killer. It was there all morning, complemented by a nice left uppercut. By the 8th round, Solis was trying to press the action with body shots and ri...

Culture, books, contact sports and reflections about life - or lack of it - beyond work and the cubicle. Thursday, February 26, 2009. We all write crazy poems and I do wrote mine. In fact, I do it all the time just for the heck of it. Creative expression? Whatever. You may read it if you have time to waste. Ha ha! The lilith crept up my nightmares. Through a narrow bridge unlit. She came in drifting. Like a ghost from Innana's lair,. A beguiling striptease in the wind. Sweeping across the rugged hills,.

No Borders: Vince Flynn needs to do some basic research on the Philippines
http://davidllorito.blogspot.com/2013/05/vince-flynn-needs-to-do-some-basic.html
Culture, books, contact sports and reflections about life - or lack of it - beyond work and the cubicle. Thursday, May 16, 2013. Vince Flynn needs to do some basic research on the Philippines. But my praises stop there. It’s obvious that Flynn has zero knowledge of Philippine geography. Consider this: Abu Sayyaf snatched the hostages from Samar and brought them to their supposed lair in Dinagat Island. Seriously? Could you imagine the presence of Abu Sayyaf in Dinagat Island? Come on, Vince! From globali...

Sugar and lemon zest. Archive for September, 2009. Things happen for a reason. Last July, hubby went for a job interview/test as a copywriter for an ad agency. While he did pass the exam and the boss wanted to get him, in the end, he didn’t get the job because we went to Manila for three weeks and the boss was looking to fill the position quite urgently. I really do believe that things happen for a reason. Like I told hubby, God will answer our prayers and do the right thing – at the right time. I guess ...

karampot's corner: July 2005
http://karampot.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
A friend hears the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails. Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Have you ever had a feeling that time is flying so fast, you can't seem to breath or otherwise you'd be 10 years older? Hahaha. I know I'm exagerating but it seems like this is happening to me right now. so we even had to go on a vacation in a jiffy. But that was time long-gone and another story that would definitely need some time writing. I can and how! There it was, tent number 12. But I still said...

Jernie's Hub: June 2010

Places we have been. Thursday, June 17, 2010. Loreto, Dinagat Islands (November 2009). From Surigao City, we had to take a boat cruising along Dinagat Islands to the northern tip of the island where Loreto lies. This trip normally takes 4 hours, non-stop. Click on the picture to view larger. The boats cruising around the islands:. San Miguel Beer, Herbert's favorite beer in the Philippines. Get-together with my relatives and my high school mates:.
