Sew Whats New

Saturday, June 20, 2015. This is the block that was with her others that was lost. The following 3 blocks are the ones I have completed with one more block to be done that I have not received yet. Here are the 3 I have done. On this block I did a lot of beading around the flowers in the center. Thisone was fun to do. The only thing I am not sure about is the small flower applique I put on the bottom left of the picture. If she does not like it it can easily be removed. Saturday, June 6, 2015. Being a sew...

Sew Whats New: ON THE ROAD AGAIN

http://sewwhatsnew-fredab.blogspot.com/2014/12/on-road-again.html

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. ON THE ROAD AGAIN. We also lost Harv's youngest sister Beth in Toronto in early December. She was ill and taken to the hospital. She was just there for 3 weeks and they determined she had Lymphoma cancer and before they could start treatment she passed away. Her body was so weakened. We were all in shock. My daughter phoned me last Sunday night and informed me she had had a colonoscopy and they had found a small mass (oxymoron? December 23, 2014 at 4:25 PM. The Polka Dot Closet.

Sew Whats New: April 2014

Sunday, April 20, 2014. My little bunny above with the large egg is saying Happy Easter to you. The egg has 4 sides to view. I watched the tv show that featured Allie Aller and her sidekick and co-author Valerie Bothell of their new book out very soon. I believe you can pre-order it on Amazon. What I have seen on the cover is wonderful and knowing them it will be just as good for the rest of the book. This was a fun project and Valerie does sell her pattern on her web site. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. It is ...

Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Right side of muslin. Wrong side of muslin. Next I piece the block with my fabrics.  After this I pin the fabrics then turn it to the wrong side and stitch all around the line I have drawn.  Then I stitch again about 3/8 inside that line and you will end up with the back looking like this. Please hit the read more as this is continued on another page for some reason. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. I decided to make mine out of jewel and very bright fabrics and it gives me a chance ...

Sew Whats New: September 2014

http://sewwhatsnew-fredab.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 29, 2014. I am wandering my kitchen trying to shut doors that do not exist. I told Harv we are like trained monkeys used to things one way only. I am doing a great clean out which has been long needed. I wish I had taken some before pics so I could show you the after. Will show you that anyway. Thursday, September 25, 2014. Not much new except I lost a crown and the tooth had to be pulled. No problem except that tooth has to be added to an existing bridge. Always something. Last week I ...

http://wwwpiecesoffriendship.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-i-construct-puzzle-piece.html

Puzzle Pattern to print out. Sunday, July 18, 2010. How I construct a puzzle piece. There has been a lot of new interest in the Pieces of Friendship puzzle swap but many are not quite sure how to go about creating a puzzle so I am sharing my directions for a crazy quilted piece here. This can be adapted for any type of art you make, not just fiber/crazy quilting. I trace the puzzle pattern onto a scrap of muslin. That is where I take my color choices from. Choose a backing fabric and iron on wonder under.

http://wwwpiecesoffriendship.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Puzzle Pattern to print out. Wednesday, June 10, 2009. I finished another puzzle piece today. My Cottonwood allergy has left me with a raw throat and feeling lethargic. Although I feel like I could sleep for days I decided it would be best to keep moving forward so I grabbed a stitching project, bottle of water, turned on the fountain and planted myself in the garden for a few hours. I made progress on a birthday project, and completed another puzzle piece. I need to finish the edges and off it goes.
