We have Mom over for visits, for the holidays, and other family members and friends visit her as well. She celebrated her 85th birthday soon after moving in and received MANY bouquets of flowers and lovely birthday cards! For our first trip after Bill's retirement, we headed to Klamath Falls, Oregon. We made a loop at the Klamath Marsh National Wildlife Refuge and saw some beautiful terrain where there was still ice on the marshes. This is a tricolor blackbird. Female and Male Merganser. Upon arrival in downtown Klamath Falls, we saw this tree full of Black-crowned Night Heron. How many can you count?

We started our morning very early on the south side of Tillamook Bay where we watched a beautiful sunrise! My brother Chris hooked a little jack salmon and passed the pole to me. He likes to do that :-). We left that part of the bay and put the boat in at Garibaldi Dock where we saw this interesting ship. It is amazing to see how new docks are built.
