The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Wednesday, August 24, 2005. On the very last day of the festival. I was at dinner with my Beethoven group and Ellen dePasquale. I thought it was funny getting an assignment from her but I enjoy reading and always appreciate a good book suggestion. So here is my book report on To Kill a Mockingbird. During the year leading up to the trial Scout and Jem had troubles at school and in the neighborhood on account of Atticus's determination to defend this innocent ma...

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Tuesday, December 20, 2005. I'm now back home and will be until January 6th. I'll be down in Branson, MO, for a little while too helping my brother build his house. Hopefully I can get some pictures. That's all for this post. Short and sweet. This is not actually his house but I thought it looked nice. Posted by Davis @ 10:23 PM. Monday, December 12, 2005. Where Did November Go? Posted by Davis @ 9:53 AM. Have you ever heard the Gospel? Get to know Ron Paul.

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Tuesday, April 17, 2007. The one above is from the back porch of a house that Steve and Curtis have worked on. They build custom made cabinets. The really nice kitchen with custom made cabinets. The shop where they build custom made cabinets. Cactus with no arms. Curtis and I went just over the border to Nogales, Mexico. Diane, Steve, and Curtis. They will soon be parents! Posted by Davis @ 10:41 AM. Friday, April 13, 2007. But enough of analyzing. My Trip to G...

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Friday, October 28, 2005. As you can see I am not a slave to my blog but I did think I should write at least one post in the month of October. I think it's really well organized and thought out and I'm enjoying it very much. I've really just been focusing on practicing for my December recital which I think will be Friday the 16th. Once I'm done with that I'll focus on orchestra auditions. Posted by Davis @ 1:17 PM. Have you ever heard the Gospel?

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Wednesday, February 14, 2007. I haven't posted in a while and people are getting antsy so I thought I'd take time out of my very busy and extremely hectic schedule to inform everyone on all my seriously important business. First off I'd like to mention that I have a visitor staying with me for a couple weeks. His name is Stanley. So we spent basically half the day shoveling snow at my place and at some neighbor's. I've been reticent to post more frequently beca...

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Sunday, July 31, 2005. One Down, Two To Go. I just finished my first of three performances and it went well. I'm looking forward to completing these and starting the Beethoven quartet. I'm also looking forward to this next weekend when we will be performing a side-by-side concert with the Cleveland Orchestra. We each sit with a member of the orchestra and perform two pieces,. Le Tombeau de Couperin. By our selves that same night. We had to leave our dorm. I wis...

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Monday, December 18, 2006. Lots of talking and eating. Fact: 8 turkeys were involved with this portion of the evening. One of the many blessings we have as an assembly. Fact: Those are real eyelashes. The angel for the nativity scene. Fact: Little girls like pretty dresses. A little sheep for the nativity scene. Fact: Sheep have boogers too. Fact: Apparently Nathan, as well as Mary, had a little lamb. Posted by Davis @ 3:21 PM. Saturday, December 16, 2006.

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Monday, September 12, 2005. This last Thursday I took my first audition. It was with the Akron orchestra. I was one of the violists who won the audition and will be sitting in chair 8 for the 05-06 season. They said that if I want to stay past this season I will have to re-audition for the new conductor once they select him or her. I'm back in school here at the Cleveland Institute of Music. And am enjoying my Suzuki. Posted by Davis @ 9:15 AM.

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Tuesday, April 04, 2006. I am still alive and I haven't fallen off of the planet. Unfortunately (actually fortunately) I don't have a cool story to tell - like I was a hostage in Iraq for the past 82 days. Or I was on a top secret mission for the CIA. I've also been reading many books but I don't have time to write about all of them. Maybe when I get an orchestra job I'll write more frequently or maybe not. I'm starting to enjoy this other, parallel uni...

The ability to reason is a wonderful thing. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. The rest of the summer. I hope to fill you all in on what else I did this summer, complete with pictures, but since I don't have a camera I have to depend on others to send photos to me. We'll see how it goes. I will probably have some others of the Perlman Program as well and I'll post when I get them. Posted by Davis @ 10:52 AM. Monday, August 28, 2006. Leaving the Perlman Program. Here we are at the faculty concert. Tonight my qua...
