She has been taking steps on her own here and there for about a week now. She is so proud of herself when she walks on her own. Her face lights up with a big smile as she searches to see if someone is watching her! She is also not drinking from a bottle anymore. My baby is growing into a toddler! This past Friday, our Olivia turned one year old! It's exciting to think that Olivia is going to be a big sister. A Hot July and Other News. Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Saturday, July 14, 2012. The week of the 4th of July we took our annual Johns family trip to Sunset Beach, NC. It was Gabriel's first trip to the island and the Atlantic coast, and he loved it! He had a blast playing (and eating) in the sand and the waves. Something I hope to do again. We met for dinner Friday night and then headed to a chick-flick movie. Afterwards we made our way to Lake Arrowhead to stay at Kenn and Tracey's lakehouse for two nights. We stayed up late talking and went shopping at the outlets all day on Saturday! What a great break!
