Stumble-Tripping Feet: Holding the storm safely
http://stumbletrippingfeet.blogspot.com/2009/04/holding-storm-safely.html
Friday, April 10, 2009. Holding the storm safely. Once, there was a little girl that had big feelings. She thought a lot. She felt a lot. She was affected deeply by seemingly little things. Her peers and friends all seemed to handle life better than her and it frustrated her and she thought something was wrong with her. She thought, where do I go with these feelings? For twelve years of school it raged beneath the surface. Twelve years she kept quiet and controlled her outward emotions. Through d...Along...

Stumble-Tripping Feet: The birth of Ben
http://stumbletrippingfeet.blogspot.com/2010/01/birth-of-ben.html
Thursday, January 21, 2010. The birth of Ben. My third son, Benjamin was introduced to this world January 5th of this year. His birth was perfect beyond measure. I wanted to share it. Elijah was born two years later, in May, after an AROM induction at 42 weeks with an experienced midwife at home. While it was a homebirth, I had kind of been relegated to the bedroom for most of labor and was not very active during labor. Overall, better than the hospital, but still, something was missing. Two months befor...

Stumble-Tripping Feet: Getting plans in order
http://stumbletrippingfeet.blogspot.com/2009/04/getting-plans-in-order.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Getting plans in order. We're not sure where we're going. We're not sure what God wants for us. I was walking down P Street in the Haymarket in a hot June Saturday. The farmer's market had drawn my mom and I there to buy produce. The fire engine was at the end of the street where the firefighters were taking blood pressures and letting the kids climb all over the engine. Three years later, after failed attempts to get myself back into the comm. room, I'm returning to my roots.

Stumble-Tripping Feet: Three years of Mommyhood
http://stumbletrippingfeet.blogspot.com/2009/02/i-should-have-been-sleeping.html
Monday, February 9, 2009. Three years of Mommyhood. Finally I just broke down and started crying, begging, pleading for someone to help me sleep. I asked my doula to get my nurse and when the nurse came in, I sobbed that I wanted to sleep. The nurse offered Nubain, saying it would help take the edge off and help me relax in between the contractions. No one realized I was in transition. I was six cm dilated. Does everyone like my princess jacket? She spun around, her jean jacket encrusted with pink bling.

Stumble-Tripping Feet: Mist, green and dull
http://stumbletrippingfeet.blogspot.com/2008/11/as-fog-drips-slowly-in-between-boards.html
Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Mist, green and dull. As fog drips slowly in between the boards in abandoned barns, depression settles in and covers my brain with cobwebs. I can't remember what happens next when the sun comes out and fog lifts. I can't quite remember what the sun looked like. And like the barn, I watch the fog come in, realize it's there, but am stone still in responding. Has it always been this way? It's been a long time, my friend. Seven years since you've visited me. Seven years s...So wh...

Crazy mommy, punk music is for kids!: The one where I muse on the upcoming school year…
http://mamapiadosa.blogspot.com/2009/08/one-where-i-muse-on-upcoming-school.html
Crazy mommy, punk music is for kids! The ramblings of a punk, hippy, messianic believer in Yeshua Mashiach. Saturday, August 1, 2009. The one where I muse on the upcoming school year…. The new year for me always starts inAugust. Not on Jan 1, not on Yom Kippur, but in August. Why? Because I have almost always either been in school, teaching school, or had kids in school, OR like this upcoming year a combination of all three. So I would love comments and input. Stumble-Tripping Feet: Sometimes, you can never go back
http://stumbletrippingfeet.blogspot.com/2008/12/sometimes-you-can-never-go-back.html
Thursday, December 25, 2008. Sometimes, you can never go back. I made a hard decision almost three years ago, leaving a job I loved, a job that I was cut out to do. I left it to become a mommy. I left it to stay home and watch my son grow, guiding him with loving arms through his youngest years. All that I work toward is not what I dream of. I cannot hobby this love, this passion, into my life. My mommy-hood is all I have right now and I don't want it. Sigh. Bless me with patience Lord. The man with a gu...

Stumble-Tripping Feet: October 2009
http://stumbletrippingfeet.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 11, 2009. My heart is aching. Please pray for Mary. Mary I met her through this post on Mothering.com http:/ www.mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php? T=772881&highlight=nebraska when her newborn was taken for her refusal to have state testing. The online group I spend most of my time with is devastated and we are praying for her. Would you please join us? A friend of mine has been keeping contact with a person at the mission that Mary and her husband started. I will update as I can.
