I recently acquired a mk1 Genesis and Sega CD set with a couple of games for very cheap (along with an original NES, although I'm not sure I will keep that). A neat arcade side-scrolling shooter Sol-Feace also came with it, which seems to have promise. The standard Game Gear gets only 2-3 hours of battery life on 6 AAs. This is not good, and is largely due to the flourescent tube which illuminates the screen.
