Homesteading Recipes: Don's Chuck Wagon Golden Mushroom Batter Mix

http://homesteadingrecipes.blogspot.com/2014/08/don-chuck-wagon-golden-mushroom-batter.html

Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Dons Chuck Wagon Golden Mushroom Batter Mix. This mix was only a dollar at Wal Mart, and I just had to try it at that price. It's on the baking aisle. You first coat the mushrooms in the mix, and then you mix what left with water to make a moist batter similar to pancake batter. I used a wooden bamboo skewer and poked it into the bottom of the dusted shrooms. From there I dunked them into the batter, and dropped them into hot oil. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Well not issues really- but Rhubarb is out of my wheel house and not super common around here. I'm not sure what to do with this. I planted a small pot of it last spring. I didn't harvest it last fall, but I'm not sure what to do about it. As you can see it's very bright and green and growing! What's going on top here? So should I transplant into a garden bed? Into a bigger container? Don't miss yes...

Adventures in Learning New Skills. A great WordPress.com site. Asymp; Leave a comment. My husband, BadBird, takes photos. Some very nice shots, if I say so myself. This one is of the Puget Sound, and is unaltered. What you see is what you get. I took inspiration from this photo to blend similar colors on my drum carder. The wool is Grey Shetland which I over-dyed using various Country Classics colors. I carded a batt, colored each batt one color in the crock of a broken crock pot. It spins up pretty too.
