Purple scarf | Adventures in Learning New Skills
https://homesteadingskills.wordpress.com/2016/04/18/purple-scarf
Adventures in Learning New Skills. A great WordPress.com site. Asymp; Leave a comment. This is a yarn I bought from Paradise Fibers. It is Juniper Moon Farms in the purple colour, and I paid 17$ for the skein. Originally, it was for socks I knit as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Darn it, I had to get a second skein to finish them off. I ran out, so I paid yet another 17$ — a lot of money for this skin-flint Gramma. And I got to practice my shawl and lace skills. What’s not to love? Larr; Previous post.

Adventures in Learning New Skills. A great WordPress.com site. Underwire Bra, aka Medieval Torture Device. Asymp; Leave a comment. Technology is grand, is it not, what with Bluetooth making connectivity so reliable, with phones and television screens and even refrigerators connecting to the web with nary a finger to lift. One would think by the title that I will discuss some great new technology, right? This discussion harkens back to the greatest medieval torture device we females call the Underwire Bra!

Well not issues really- but Rhubarb is out of my wheel house and not super common around here. I'm not sure what to do with this. I planted a small pot of it last spring. I didn't harvest it last fall, but I'm not sure what to do about it. As you can see it's very bright and green and growing! What's going on top here? So should I transplant into a garden bed? Into a bigger container? Don't miss yes...

Adventures in Learning New Skills. A great WordPress.com site. Asymp; Leave a comment. My husband, BadBird, takes photos. Some very nice shots, if I say so myself. This one is of the Puget Sound, and is unaltered. What you see is what you get. I took inspiration from this photo to blend similar colors on my drum carder. The wool is Grey Shetland which I over-dyed using various Country Classics colors. I carded a batt, colored each batt one color in the crock of a broken crock pot. It spins up pretty too.
