Sunday, April 26, 2009. My so called (second) life. I must admit, I find those into second life kind of. dorky? It was interesting reading through some my classmate's opinions, ranging from " I can't wait to sign up for it! To questioning it's true value (" Second Life yielding corporate training results. Though those that have their doubts usually have not tried it out, while the ones that enjoy it have tried it out in some capacity. The Sims was a fun game, though cheat codes could be used to gain more...

Blogging for the first time. Monday, April 13, 2009. It isn’t what you know, it’s who you're "LinkedIn" to. When I first joined LinkedIn. Sometime two years ago, I just did it because a friend sent me a link in an email and told me to join. At that time I was growing bored with my membership to Friendster. And had just started experimenting with Facebook. That may intrigue you:. A new member joins LinkedIn approximately every second, and about half of our members are outside the U.S. I first thought Link...

http://brightinspiration.blogspot.com/2009/03/open-innovation-blessing-or-curse.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. Open Innovation: A Blessing or a Curse? In America and most westernized Cultures, our Culture does not encourage the sharing of ideas and this is because we are selfish when it comes to competition. We want to get ahead of the game but most of the time our ultimate goal is to have control over our product thereby reaping the benefits all by ourselves because we believe that since we created it, then why should we share it? Monday, April 6, 2009. Talking or Listening which is better? This link stresses on that fact. An employee who felt that educating the customers about the company was the right way to go is on the verge of losing his job and this stresses a lot on the point that was just made. Sunday, April 12, 2009. Connecting With People The Old Way. As much as social networking has taken over our society and helped us connect to the rest of the world, it has also hindered and changed our effectiveness when it comes to networking. Most people now rely solely on networking online and searching for jobs online instead of trying to meet people face to face which is the old school and most effective way to gain favor from people. 3 Connect with the person directly-. brightinspiration: Does The Internet Really Make Us Dumb?
http://brightinspiration.blogspot.com/2009/04/does-internet-really-make-us-dumb.html
Saturday, April 18, 2009. Does The Internet Really Make Us Dumb? Does the internet really make us dumb? We are a jaded lot, we in our world - our threatened world. We are good for irony and even cynicism. Some words and ideas we hardly use, so worn out have they become. But we may want to restore some words that have lost their potency. For all those dumb people reading this who might never had read anything of substance before, may I suggest. Whether or not one approves of wikis, blogs, and the other di...

http://brightinspiration.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 26, 2009. Is anyone interested in living a "second life.". I am not sure whether i completely grasp the concept of second life even after reading more than two articles. I however know that it is basically creating a virtual life for yourself so that you are constantly in contact with the rest of the world. Now do I personally think that's a good idea, "No."I say no because i like to have my space and therefore have no interest in a "Second Life.". Jason, a disabled man, lives his life vica...

Steve's blogosphere: Thanks, I am now considered dumb
http://stevedlaw.blogspot.com/2009/04/thanks-i-am-now-considered-dumb.html
Sunday, April 19, 2009. Thanks, I am now considered dumb. In some ways, it does not surprise me that Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing made the comment that the internet is making us dumber. After all, she did win her Nobel Prize in Literature through old school writing with pen and paper and the brain. But I think she forgot to see that some of her Nobel Prize peers have used the internet or maybe even "invented" it, and utilize technology to spread their message. Susan Boyle Youtube video.

Blogging for the first time. Monday, April 20, 2009. The Internet is making us dumb and killing our culture? Perhaps these proclaimers are just afraid of change! Of course, as with everything in life, there are people that love. And those that hate. In this case,. Happens to be the internet. I personally love it but can see how there are people out there who believe that the internet has the potential to make us "dumb", such as Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing. If anything, the internet brings culture fr...
